Should we think Internet's contribution to globalization positively?

 

 

What I hope to learn from this source:

 I would like to know what and how the Internet impact on globalization and communicating through internet. Also, I would like to know if internet affects various areas these days.

[ Internet's significance on globalization ]

- due to the technological development, glovalization has been facilitated

- mostly, internet promote faster and easier communication. Internet provides cheaper and faseter method of communication such as fast phone calls in a distance through web, and web cameras, microphones, messengers are all technologies that make people communicate with other people far from them through the Internet.

- These new types of communication which internet provide has a significant impact of globalization because it connects people all over the world.

- enable companies to promote productivity through by much faster access of information and lectronic transactions

- new jobs created : IT professionals and engineers

 

◉ Mass Media

- altered the structure of the mass media : local and national news changed into world wide news

- negative effect : English speakers dominate the media and they have popularized American culture

[ Role of Internet in the modern era ]

- Internet has created much easier and earlier routine in many peoples' lives

- Internet also created tiring and physically demanding works on the finger tips

- deliver lots of information by e-news instead of newspaper

- widen opportunities for business and professional developments : advertisements and promotions of products become much easier

- making money on the Internet become easier : through web sites, people easily sell and buy and exchange their products

- Internet is indeed the major advancement in the modern era which make people easily connect, contact, and control other people and world.

Final Thoughts : Internet has affected on various areas and in various ways. However, even if it is hard to find out, I should more research about how internet has affected on people's lives in various ways and if we should evaluate their role positively or negatively.
